Abomination and the Wrecking Crew
Emil Blonsky was attempting to steal classified documents from a military base when he was hit by a massive dose of gamma radiation intended to destroy the Hulk. An unknown mutation saved him from certain death, but at the cost of turning him into the Abomination, a grotesque, hulking creature with tremendous strength and endurance to rival that of the Hulk himself. In fact, they have faced each other many times over the years, leaving a trail of destruction across the planet.
Dirk Garthwaite performed under the name "Wrecker" until Thor defeated him and had his powers confined to a crowbar. In prison, he met Dr. Eliot Franklin, Henry Camp and Brian Calusky, who helped him escape and retrieve the enchanted crowbar. The four men then held the crowbar together during a storm until it was struck by lightning, unleashing the power it contained. That power was shared between the four of them, with the Shredder recovering and Thunderball, Bulldozer and Piledriver being born. These four men are now known as the Wrecking Crew, a team of supervillains with a knack for destruction and mayhem.
